100 years ago: Agricultural students at Fort Lewis College plunged into the “numerous stunts during the week.”

75 years ago: Goodman Paint Co. took out an advertisement that said, “Newest patterns in wallpaper for every room in your home. Tasteful wallpaper dresses up any room. Our selection is tremendous; our prices very small ... See our 1941 samples today.”

50 years ago: Pam Sylvester, “and not her elder sister, Debbie,” was crowned Durango High School Winter Sports Queen during the DHS Winter Sports Dance.

25 years ago: Durango Police Department received a report of four boys, who looked about high school-aged and were all wearing Raiders jackets, were setting off a sting of fireworks in the 300 block of East Fourth Avenue.
