Local band Sweetwater Station will perform at Mancos State Park at 6 p.m. Saturday in the latest concert in the continuing series of musical events at the park.
This summer’s Mancos State Park music series was abbreviated after parts of the park were closed in June and early July because of the high fire danger. After fully reopening in mid-July, the park has resumed the music series.
Sweetwater Station is a contemporary folk-rock band featuring vocal harmonies, backed by mandolin, guitar, bass and percussion. The band performs familiar and original songs and regularly plays at the Mancos Brewing Co., Cortez Farmers Market and other locations in Southwest Colorado.
Band members include Marilyn Kroeker on vocals and guitar; Chris Rasmussen on vocals and percussion; Paul Berkowitz on mandolin and guitar; Raymond Rose on bass; and Bill Kroeker, sound engineer and photographer.
The Sweetwater Station concert is free to the public with the required $7 park entry fee.
