Animal ControlWednesday5:23 p.m. A large dog was running in the road in the 29000 block of U.S. Highway 160, east of Durango.11:32 p.m. A white Labrador was attempting to bite patients entering a facility in the 2900 block of Junction Street.

Durango PoliceThursday12:53 a.m. Fights were reported in the 900 block of Main Avenue.

1:30 a.m. A fight was reported in the 600 block of Main Avenue.

1:38 a.m. People were sitting in blue chairs in the middle of the 1200 block of Camino del Rio, throwing things into the road.

3:38 a.m. An assault was reported in the 5800 block of Main Avenue.

9:41 a.m. A counterfeit $5 bill was reported in the 600 block of Camino del Rio.

Wednesday5:05 p.m. A woman said her husband, in the 2300 block of Delwood Avenue, had drug paraphernalia at home and was supposed to watch children there.

11:36 p.m. Someone was stopped for driving the wrong direction on Narrow Gauge Avenue.

Thursday7:54 a.m. A 54-year-old man was unconscious and purple in the 200 block of Via Vista Circle, east of Grandview. He had been lying in the snow for an unknown length of time.

Wednesday6:44 p.m. Shots or fireworks were reported near the 600 block of Alpine Forest Drive, near Vallecito.

8:56 p.m. A man said some people pouring gasoline on a bonfire created a hazardous situation in the 600 block of south Coon Creek Lane, at Hermosa. A deputy talked to both parties and determined everything was OK.

Thursday12:22 a.m. A fire alarm was reported in the 100 block of Colorado Highway 172, east of Durango.

Wednesday8:26 p.m. A fire alarm and the smell of smoke were reported in the 400 block of Sheol Street, part of the Angel Haus condominiums at Durango Mountain Resort. No fire was found, said Liz Witte, communications manager for the resort.

Wednesday9:16 p.m. Some celebrants were warned for lighting fireworks in the 100 block of Jenkins Ranch Road.
