Animal Control

8:34 a.m. A chocolate Lab was running loose in the 200 block of Southridge Circle, east of Elmore's Corner.

12:16 p.m. Someone wanted Animal Control to check on a hound dog that had been inside a house for about a week in the 100 block of Conejo Place.

5:21 p.m. A black Lab puppy was seen inside a truck since 10 a.m. in the 1100 block of East Fourth Avenue.

Durango Police

10:26 a.m. A trash can was stolen last week in the 3000 block of East Fourth Avenue.

2 p.m. A neighbor was shoveling snow up against someone's home in the 500 block of East Fourth Avenue.

3:15 p.m. A bathroom was graffitied in the 1900 block of East Third Avenue.

6:07 p.m. An intoxicated 27-year-old man was being verbally and physically abusive toward his father in the east 800 block of College Avenue.

6:32 p.m. Five dogs at different houses were barking near the intersection of Birket Drive and Junction Street. The caller complained that this has been a recurring problem.

7:49 p.m. A possibly intoxicated driver crashed into a snowbank at the 21000 block of U.S. Highway 160 West.

La Plata County Sheriff

7:55 a.m. A woman was drunk and hadn't eaten for three days in the 10000 block of La Posta Road (County Road 213), south of Durango.

8:59 a.m. The license plates were taken off a man's vehicle at Durango Mountain Resort.

10:54 a.m. A blue sport-utility vehicle was stuck in a snowbank near Colorado Highway 140 and County Road 120, near Breen.

12:01 p.m. A television was stolen two nights ago in the 6000 block of County Road 203, north of Durango.

1:57 p.m. A man's vehicle was scratched while someone else was getting his car unstuck at Durango Mountain Resort.

5:44 p.m. A man in his mid-20s was looking at a padlock on a fence and ran away when approached in the 29000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

7:59 p.m. A dead deer was blocking two lanes of traffic and had nearly caused several accidents in the 27000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

11:08 a.m. A man grabbed his wife and took her phone and broke it as she tried to call for help on Colorado Drive.

2:09 p.m. There was a smell of gas in a dorm room at Fort Lewis College.

6:39 p.m. A brush fire was reported at 3503 County Road 514.
