Summer block parties to be held in Bayfield The town of Bayfield and the Pine River Library will be hosting a series of community block parties this summer. The events will take place from 6-9 p.m. Thursdays throughout the summer and will feature live music by local bands.
June 23 will feature country and classic rock from Million Dollar Highway; July 21 will be electrofusion/funk/jam from Sky Pilot and during the final party on Aug. 25, you can groove to the neo-soul sounds of Hello Dollface.
The town will be closing off Mill Street and inviting all community members to come downtown for food, drinks, music and fun for the whole family.
There will be a beer garden with beer provided by Bottom Shelf Brewery (proceeds go to the Be Frank Foundation) and food sold by local restaurants and community vendors. For the kids, there will be “street bowling” and a bouncy house provided by Lewis Merc.
The town is calling all crafters, food producers, artisans, wool producers, honey bee product producers and people who offer services such as pet sitting, child care, pack trips and river guides to sign up for a vendor booth at each party. Local businesses, clubs and nonprofits are asked to showcase their products and services. All community organizations are encouraged to participate. If you already have a Bayfield business license, the registration is free, otherwise, $25 will pay for your booth and license fee. Booths will be free for all nonprofits. Vendor applications can be picked up at the Bayfield Town Hall or accessed online at www.bayfield.gov.
