The 4th annual Durango Wine Experience will be held in downtown Durango on May 6, 7 and 8. This three-day event is the
area's only real wine festival. Wine aficionados and those who want to learn more about wine will greatly enjoy all
parts of the event.
This year's Durango Wine Experience once again benefits United Way. Karen Barger of Seasons and Joe and Pam Leder of
Durango Wine and Liquor and PJ's Market have always directed proceeds from their event to a local charity.

Peach Street Distillers will hold a martini seminar from 4 to 5 p.m. May 6 at Starlight Lounge. Bill Graham, co-owner of Peach Street Distillers, will present at the seminar. Suggested donation is only $5 at the door.
For Platinum Pass Holders, the VIP Welcome Reception will be held at Steamworks Brewing Co. from 5 to 6:30 p.m. May
From 4 to 7 p.m. May 7, the Walk About Durango tour will be held. Hundreds of wines will be featured at seven
locations in downtown Durango. Attendees will be able to interact one on one with representatives from all the
wineries that are attending.
On May 8, three wine seminars will be held during the day. Attendees can learn about champagne and sparkling wines, Spanish wines and tapas, and making your own wine. The Grand Tasting will be held later in the day at First
National Bank of Durango under the festival tents. Hundreds of featured wines as well as beer and spirits will be
available from wineries in Colorado and from throughout the world. Other events are also in the works to
benefit United Way.
On May 7, Williams will hold a golf tournament fund-raiser for United Way of Southwest Colorado and San Juan United
Way in Farmington. This annual tournament is one of the first charity tournaments of the season and is always very

United Way is planning the 15th annual Golf Tournament fundraiser with the Durango High Noon Rotary Club. This
year's tournament will be held July 16 at Dalton Ranch Golf Club. Call United Way at 247-9444 to learn how to
United Way's best fundraiser each year is the annual Four Corners Broadcasting Radiothon. This year marks the 14th
year of this outstanding partnership. The 2010 Radiothon will be held Sept. 10.
