Runners unite for 2016 Hardrock 100 Endurance Run

Elite field for 2016 race
Last year’s men’s and women’s winners, Anna Frost and Kilian Jornet, are back in Silverton hoping to defend their titles. But, more than anything, the two are happy to once again be part of the Hardrock family.
Kilian Jornet hasn’t seen much competition in his two Hardrock wins, but that could change this year.
Kilian Jornet of Spain set a new Hardrock 100 record when he finished last year’s race in 22 hours, 41 minutes, 35 seconds. He gained separation from the competition on all the climbs, which total 33,050 feet in all over the course of the 100-mile race.
Anna Frost, the defending women’s champion at the Hardrock 100, now calls Durango home, and she is feeling more comfortable in the San Juan Mountains.
Timothy Olson had a tough run in his Hardrock 100 debut in 2014, but he still found a way to finish. This year, it’s his redemption run.
Anna Frost and her pacer, Ron Braselton, arrived in Silverton to cheers in 2015, as Frost finished as the top woman in the Hardrock 100. Braselton will be on Frost’s crew this year but will not pace.
