A furious, last-inning comeback fell just short for the Bayfield High School baseball team Saturday.
The Wolverines, in the Class 2A District Tournament at Cedaredge, fell to Legend High School of Parker 10-7.
Bayfield, trailing 10-3, pushed four runs across in the seventh, boosted by an RBI double by Brenden Harrison.
The Wolverines, who cut the lead to 10-5, scored two more runs with two outs before the Titans closed out the game.

Strasburg (11-9) and Legend (10-10) played for the District title later Saturday in Cedaredge.
The Wolverines, champions of the Intermountain League tournament and regular season, ended the seaon 13-5.
