The Ignacio High School baseball team was rewarded for a run deep into the Class 2A state playoffs this year.
Four Bobcats were voted to the All-San Juan Basin League Team.
The all-conference players were selected in voting by the conference coaches.
Senior Anthony Porambo of Ignacio was selected as a first-team pitcher for 2010. He helped the Bobcats win the District Tournament in Cortez to advance to the Class 2A Regionals, held last weekend in Alamosa.
Catcher Tony Hutchinson, also a senior, was voted to the all-league team.
He was joined by senior shortstop Josh Plehinger.
Junior infielder Garret Becker was voted to the all-league second team after the Bobcats finished with a 10-12 overall record.
The Bobcats stunned Folwer 8-7 on Saturday in the first game of the Regionals.
They were turned back by Paonia 9-3 in the Regional champinships game.
Porambo got the win in relief against Fowler.
A week earlier, Ignacio defeated Rangley 12-9 and Paonia 10-9 in the District Tournament.
The Bobcats were led by first-year head coach Ardie Eleck.
Other pitchers on the All-San Juan Basin League Team are Austin McCracken of Dolores and Justin Guynes of Dolores County.
Other Dolores players on the first team are Austin Knuppel, Tyler Undersood and Byron Crites.
Keegan Arnold of Nucla also was voted to the first team.
Dolores' second-team selections are Kolton Shull and Ryan Greene.
Dirk Smuin, Bobby Jenkins and Justin Goforth of Nucla were named to the second team. Brice Stefan of Nucla was voted the utility fielder of the year in the San Juan Basin League.
McCracken was selected as the player of the year.
Dolores' Jim Everin was voted the conference coach of the year.
The Class 2A playoffs head into the state semifinals Friday at Englewood High School.
Paonia will take on Resurrection Christian of Loveland in one semifinal.
Las Animas will play Limon in the other semifinal.
The Class 2A state championship game will be Saturday afternoon at Englewood High School.
