Iron horse

Trout, the 600-pound steel horse made by Durango sculptor Dave Claussen, sits on a trailer by Claussen’s Animas Air Park studio Saturday. The horse arrived at the home of its owner, Kristie Graham, from Tucson, Ariz., on Monday. Trout is a portrait of Graham’s bay with black legs, mane and tail. His tail was crafted from 1,000 feet of one-eighth inch rod and the mane of 250 feet of the same material.
