Traffic on Main Avenue wouldn't be so bad if drivers would show a little courtesy to others.
You could start by using your turn signals now and then. Next, get out of the left lane (aka the "passing lane") unless you're overtaking vehicles on the right. I know it's hard, but signal first, then pull into the turn lane, then apply your brakes instead of stomping your brakes, slowing down everyone behind you, and then moving over into the turn lane.
Yes, you can complete a right-hand turn without swinging out or coming to an almost complete stop. When traffic comes to a stop, don't block driveways or intersections, allow drivers waiting to get out onto the road and we'll all get home safer and faster.
Last, quit running yellow and red lights. You'll not only kill someone some day, you also fill in the gaps in traffic that drivers trying to pull out onto Main need.
Please, obey the commandment to love your neighbor even when you get behind the wheel. Drive with a little consideration and courtesy. And please, pull off to the side to talk on your cell phone instead of recklessly endangering the rest of us. Quit being so selfish behind the wheel.
