In this letter, I will address three types of pollution: oil in the ocean, trash along the sides of the roads and
graffiti on our buildings.
Well, our government and the oil companies have finally done it.
They have currently destroyed an entire ocean, along with inlets and wetlands, so vitally important to the human
race. Why are the oil companies even allowed to drill in the oceans? Odds are not in their favor because at some time
one will fail - and it takes only one - and it has happened.
You might ask who sleeps with whom and who actually runs the government. Think about it; this is the worst ecological
disaster known to man, and it is man-made. That much oil will never be cleaned up in our lifetimes or in our
children's children's lifetimes.
The sides of our roads are a total disgrace, with all the trash people throw out. What type or people are these and
where do they come from? Are they so ashamed of the country they live in that they have to trash it and then expect
others to clean it up? Graffiti: The people doing this call it art. Why are they slithering around in the middle of
the night to do this so-called art"? Why are they doing it on other people's property, costing them money to
repaint? It's wrong, it's against the law and they know it.
That's why it's done in the middle of the night. I'd like to see the police catch them, but they don't seem to be
able to. And if they do, we never hear about it.
Well, I guess we will continue to live in the cesspool we are creating for ourselves and not doing a thing about what
we are doing to our Earth. It's about time we woke up and took our country back from the vandals, the government and
the oil companies that are destroying it.
