I was informed last week that my health-care plan, provided by my husband's employer, will be going from $462.90 a month to $1,113.90 a month. I, in no way, blame his employer for this. It is a small company that does its best to take care of its employees. I fully blame Obamacare.
This hike will take effect July 1. My husband and I have been middle class since we were married 15 years ago. For the first time since our marriage, we will be without insurance. Our children no longer will be allowed to participate in sports at the middle and high school because they require insurance.
This is an all-out travesty. Obama is squeezing out the middle class. Now you're either rich or poor. In the last couple of years, we've seen my husband's paychecks dwindle because the gas field has all but shut down. Now we can't even afford to take our children to the doctor for a physical.
I also blame this on passing legislation from our lovely senators, Michael Bennet and Mark Udall. I once was a Democrat but I no longer will vote Democrat.
I didn't vote for Obama, but my family is paying, literally, for all those who did. Please, my family begs you, don't vote for Obama again. As Ronald Reagan said, "The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government, and I'm here to help."
Isn't it funny how the word "politics" is made up of the words "poli" meaning 'many' in Latin, and "tics" as in "bloodsucking creatures"?
