Art sale to benefit Durango Arts Center
The Durango Arts Center will host a two-day public sale of fine art in all media from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Artists can bring in work for sale between 8 and 10 a.m. today.
There is no selection process or entry fee. Make sure each piece is marked with your name and the sales price. The DAC will take a 40 percent commission on sales, so work should be priced accordingly.
All work must be removed by 5 p.m. Saturday.

DPAC to open tribute to Rodgers, Hammerstein
The Durango Performing Arts Company will present "A Grand Night for Singing," featuring the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein, 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through Aug. 12 at the Durango Arts Center.
The program, created by Tony Award-winner Walter Bobbie and composer Fred Wells, combines the songs of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein with fresh, innovative musical arrangements, including "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Out-a My Hair," "Honeybun, Shall We Dance?" and "Kansas City."
"A Grand Night for Singing" stars Justin Hohnke, Jessica Jane Hagemeister, Landon Newton, Elizabeth Gray, Joshua Logan and Katherine Walker.
Tickets cost $15 in advance and $18 at the door and are available at the DAC or online at www.durangoarts.org.
