TheDurango Herald has run two articles in as many weeks advocating or celebrating homosexuality. A small but vocal segment of society is working toward having the rest of us accept their "alternate" lifestyle.
Life holds some basic rights and wrongs. It does not matter how badly one wishes to change these. Things that were wrong 2,000 years ago are still wrong today. Freedom does not allow people to do whatever they want whenever they want. Rather freedom demands responsibility. A basic adult responsibility is recognizing right from wrong.
Homosexuality is wrong - plain and simple. A group of people wishing for it to be OK does not make it so. For a short study on how wrong becomes perceived as right read 1:24 of Paul's letter to the Romans. " ... and in consequence God delivered them up to their lusts in unclean practices. The women gave up natural intercourse for unnatural. Men gave up natural intercourse with women and burned with lust for one another."
Am I a religious zealot? No, I just know right from wrong. I suspect most of us do. It's just not always easy or real popular these days.
