Fundraiser will benefit Mercy Health Foundation
The Anytime Walk, a fundraiser for the Mercy Health Foundation, will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Mercy Regional Medical Center.
The one-mile walk begins in front of the hospital, and there will be health and wellness stations along the way. The walk is free and open to the public.

Community meetings to be held on land use
The draft of the La Plata County Comprehensive Plan is available for public review.
The plan, which includes the strategy matrix and worksheet, can be downloaded from the website www.laplatacounty plan.com. Hard copies will be available at local public libraries or the County Planning Department.
A strategy prioritization workshop will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 5 at the Smiley Building Auditorium, 1309 East Third Ave. Community members are asked to review the strategy matrix and worksheet before attending.
Community workshops about the draft plan will be held at these times and locations:
b 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 9 at the Vallecito Community Center.
b 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Ignacio Public Library.
b 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Bayfield Public Library.
b 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 12 at Fort Lewis Mesa Elementary School.
The county will offer education forums on Monday and Aug. 30 in the meeting rooms at the Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.
