Barts New York Deli has a new location
Barts New York Deli announces its new location at 1220 Carbon Junction Road, formerly the location of Chicago Nicks.
The business is owned by Bart Rabkin, who was the co-owner of the Durango Diner for 20 years.
The drive-through restaurant serves fast food, Boars Head Meats, burgers, fries and breakfast burritos.

Region 9 receives $25,000 grant
The Region 9 Economic Development District has received a $25,000 grant through the Federal Home Loan Bank Joint Opportunities for Building Success grant program.
The Durango office of Vectra Bank of Colorado submitted the application that will go toward the regional telecommunications partnership with 14 area governments. The goal of the project is the implementation of a publicly owned Open Access Network to extend high bandwidth capacity to each local community in a five-county area through a fiber loop and wireless network.

Surgery center receives accreditation
ASC Durango, an independently owned ambulatory surgery center, has achieved accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
Status as an accredited organization means ASC Durango has met standards for the provision of quality health care. To receive accreditation, organizations undergo a self-assessment and on-site survey by the associations surveyors. The surveyors are volunteer physicians, nurses and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory health care.
The accreditation is specifically for organizations that provide diagnostic or medical care on an outpatient basis.
ASC Durango is located on the campus of Mercy Regional Medical Center. It offers a variety of outpatient care including: orthopedic surgery, general surgery, gynecologic surgery, ophthalmology, spine surgery, ear, nose and throat surgery, plastic surgery, pain management, oral surgery and endoscopy.
