Rotary seeks professionals for trip
The Rotary Clubs of La Plata County are seeking men and women to visit the Alsace region of France from March 26 to April 23, 2011.
The Group Study Exchange Program of The Rotary Foundation will fund the trip. Only non-Rotarians can apply. Proficiency in French is beneficial, but is not mandatory. The deadline for completed applications is Sept. 10.
The program strives to improve international understanding by enabling people from different countries to learn from each other. The concept involves exchanging teams of business and professional people between ages 25 and 40 for a four- to six-week tour.
While abroad, team members will visit their professional counterparts, observe their hosts way of life during home stays and study the host countrys economic, social and cultural characteristics through travel and discussion.
