Open Doors lead to Open Studios

“Nectar of the Gods,” a charcoal, chalk and watercolor by Crystal Hartman. Hartman is the founder of Durango Open Studios, a tour of local artists’ workplaces that will be held Sept. 18 and 19 throughout Durango and La Plata County. “Open Doors,” a preview showing of artworks by participants in the tour, opens today at the Durango Arts Center. An opening reception for the “taster” show will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Barbara Conrad Gallery at the DAC.
