Classic reggae at the Abbey

Trenchtown, Jamaica’s Mighty Diamonds, Donald “Tabby” Shaw, Fitzroy “Bunny” Simpson and Lloyd “Judge” Ferguson, will play Thursday night at the Abbey Theatre. The band, which formed in 1969, is best-known for its reggae classics “Go Seek Your Rights” and “I Need a Roof,” but pop fans will be most familiar with “Pass the Kouchie,” the reggae tune that was re-released in 1982 as “Pass the Dutchie” by Musical Youth.
