It has been a great season for golf in the Four Corners, and there still are plenty of good days ahead to hit the links before the white stuff tucks our courses to bed for another season.
I will see you next year, for my 30th attempt, to bring you golfing news on the Clubhouse Porch.

The regular tournament season at Hillcrest Golf Club will wrap Saturday with the Todd Sieger Shootout. There were 11 regular-season tournaments which were designated as events to determine the top-10 seasonal money winners in 2010. This group of golfers has been invited back to compete in a 9-hole shootout at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
The Golfing for Kids with Disabilities tournament also will be held Saturday at Hillcrest. This is a very important fundraiser for the Family Support Program, as state funding will be cut 50 percent starting Friday. The tournament has received some wonderful prize donations from area golf courses, restaurants, local businesses and the like. To sign up for this event, call Pat Smith at 385-3450 or sign up at the Hillcrest Pro Shop.
The Dalton Ranch Golf Club will have its final Couples Tournament on Oct. 10, then will wrap up scheduled tournament play on Oct. 30 with The Mailman.
The last day to play golf at Dalton Ranch is set for Oct. 31.
