Interact Club thanks communityThe officers and sponsors of the Durango High School Interact Club would like to thank the community for their support of the annual international cuisine dinner. Interact will participate in a service trip to Argentina in November. Nearly $3,000 was raised at the dinner and will help fund projects at a school, senior center and or other sites in rural Argentina.
The generosity of the following individuals and businesses represents the goodness of the community: Shanan Wells and Sorrel Sky Gallery provided a beautiful space and helped with the event; Daybreak Rotary Club, High Noon Rotary Club, Rotary Club of Durango and Rotary liaison Aimee Martin provided tremendous support; donations were received by Osprey, Durango Mountain Resort, Steamworks Brewing Co., Zia Taqueria, Sorrel Sky Gallery, Benjamin Moore, Colors Inc., Behn’s, Cuckoos Chicken House, Ska Brewing Co., Sow’s Ear, Cartwheel Clothing and Durango Joes; and parents and families of Interact students helped provide a variety of international cuisine for the evening. A thank you from Ignacio 9Health FairThanks to all of the volunteers who helped at the Ignacio 9Health Fair on April 22. For those who gave up their Saturday morning, we were able to serve 200 people who took ownership in their health and came to the fair.
