United Methodists to host bazaar
First United Methodist Church of Durango will host its 37th annual Holiday Bazaar from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 20 at 2917 Aspen Drive.
There will be refreshments throughout the day, including coffee, pastries and pie by the slice for breakfast. The traditional Sloppy Joe luncheon will begin at 11 a.m. and is served until the food runs out. In addition to local vendors with a variety of holiday items, the church hosts two craft rooms, a plant parlor, baked goods tables and a Trash & Treasures room.

Bible study to begin Thursday
A Bible study titled Who Is Israel will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays beginning this Thursday at 1400 Colorado Highway 172 in Durango.
The study is sponsored by Simchat ha Mashiach Beit Emunah Joy in the Messiah House of Faith.

Economy to be discussed in sermons
The Rev. Jeff Huber of First United Methodist Church, 2917 Aspen Drive, will begin a series of messages Sunday that explore the lessons that can be learned from the economic collapse and the Great Recession.

Greek Orthodox church to meet
The Greek Orthodox Church of the Four Corners invites all Orthodox Christians and all interested in the church to celebrate the Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 13 at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 910 East Third Ave.
Come and See! is the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese theme for 2010-11. The Rev. Anthony Karbo of Saints Constantine and Helen Holy Theophany Orthodox Church in Colorado Springs will be the celebrant for the Liturgy.
