Bramley tackles Mt. Evan’s Ascent in surprise fashion

FLC junior third-place woman at race on fourteener
Rebecca Bramley was the third woman to cross the finish line Sunday at the Mt. Evan’s Ascent. Forty years earlier, her dad set a course record on the same run, and the record stood for 31 years. He died in 2009.
Fort Lewis College track and cross country coach Joshua Coon ran the Mt. Evans Ascent on Sunday and finished 17th overall.
Rebecca Bramley ran as strong of a race as she could have Sunday at the Mt. Evans Ascent, taking in the views and running the same race her dad set a record at 40 years earlier.
