Gov. Hickenlooper marks progress on 11 of 15 goals to make Colorado ‘healthiest’

Scorecard used as an example of what’s at stake if Affordable Care Act repealed
Gov. John Hickenlooper’s office released on Monday a scorecard that charts the progress of goals his administration set in 2013 to make Colorado the “healthiest state in the nation.” Hickenlooper used this as an example of what is at stake if the Senate repeals the Affordable Care Act.
Gov. John Hickenlooper said if the Better Care Reconciliation Act passes, Colorado would lose $1.5 billion in Medicaid funding annually. Additionally, 628,000 Coloradans would lose insurance coverage because of the elimination of government-funded subsidies.
