Twin Buttes Development contractors continue to work at the intersection of U.S. Highway 160 and Tipple Avenue, west of Durango, on a new signalized intersection to accommodate the Twin Buttes subdivision.
Remaining construction includes new guardrails, lane reconfiguration and striping, and installation of the traffic signal. The project is being funded by the Twin Buttes of Durango developers and is overseen by the Colorado Department of Transportation.
The construction is expected to be completed before Labor Day, Sept. 4.
Drivers can expect possible lane shifts and delays while traveling westbound and eastbound on Highway 160 during construction hours.
