Influx of Durango cyclists helps Fort Lewis College

Animas’ Keiran Eagen wrapped up a stellar high school mountain biking career with a fourth-place finish in the Division I varsity race at last year’s state race in Eagle. He has put together a strong summer race season against top athletes from around the country.

Durango’s Katja Freeburn will get a chance to race for the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks cycling team as she continues her career and education. Freeburn also is a strong Nordic ski racer.

Camryn Sippy raced across the state during high school season and around the region during the summer. She will saddle up with the Fort Lewis College team this fall.
