Gentle yoga class to be held
Gentle yoga classes with certified yoga instructor Jennifer Kiel will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mondays and Thursdays at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 910 East Third Ave.

Support group offered for assault survivors
Sexual Assault Services Organization will offer a free, confidential support group for adult survivors of childhood sexual violence on Wednesday evenings beginning this week.
The 12-week group will be facilitated by therapist Ruby Jo Walker.

January is Cervical Health Awareness Month.
Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers. Pap tests can find abnormal cells years before any cancer exists.

Reproductive services extends its hours
San Juan Basin Health Departments Reproductive Health Services has expanded its hours.
People can call and be seen the next day. Appointments now are available Tuesdays through Fridays. San Juan Basin Health offers services for men and women including: birth control, STD testing, gynecological exams and reproductive health counseling.

Health dept. offering radon test workshops
In conjunction with January being National Radon Action Month, the San Juan Basin Health Department will hold free one-hour workshops about how to test for radon. Workshop participants will receive a free test kit.
Radon is an odorless gas that is the second-leading cause of lung cancer.

A three-day workshop addressing grief recovery will be held from Saturday to Monday at First United Methodist Church, 2917 Aspen Drive.

Disordered eating workshop to be held
A Finding Your Weight Naturally ... Its Not About the Food workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 28 in Durango.
Emily Newcomer and Joanie Trussel, psychotherapists in the Four Corners specializing in disordered eating, will lead the workshop. The workshop will explore healthy eating versus dieting and food rules; mindful eating; accepting your body, connecting to your body; innate wisdom; and attending to the source of eating issues.
Lunch will be provided by Durango Natural Foods. Registration is limited. Early registration ends Friday.
