The Fort Lewis College mens basketball team started fast, finished faster, and crushed Colorado Christian 99-60 on Friday night in Lakewood.
We took it to em, Fort Lewis head coach Bob Hofman said after the Skyhawks hit 12 3-pointers and improved to 12-2 overall and 8-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
We got great production from all of the players we dressed, Hofman said.
Eleven different Skyhawks scored.
Matt Billups did a great job at the point for us. Barron Boedecker had some good minutes, Hofman said.
David Kanyinda, who had four 3-pointers, led the Skyhawks with 25 points.
DeAndre Lansdowne scored 22 with six rebounds.
Josh Cassaday, with a pair of 3-pointers, added 16 for FLC.
B.J. Wortham led Colorado Christian (4-9, 3-7 RMAC) with 16 points.
FLCs defense limited Colorado Christian to 38 percent shooting from the field in the game.
DeAndre was steady as usual, Hofman said. And Matt Morris was ... Matt. He didnt score a lot, but you know Matt ... he was tough.
Tayler Faust and Matthias Weissl also had 3-pointers in the FLC victory.
The Skyhawks will continue their weekend road RMAC trip with a key 8 p.m. game today at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden.
Mines (12-2, 8-2 RMAC) defeated Adams State 77-69 on Friday night at home.
Fort Lewis and Colorado Mines share second place in the RMAC mens standings, one-half game ahead of Adams State.
