A meal of thanks

Joni Paul, manager at Sweeney’s Restaurant, thanks Durango Fire & Rescue Authority firefighters, from left, Tom Door, Randy Baker, Tony Harwig and Marlo Buiso, along with 26 other firefighters and eight Durango Police Department officers who responded to a fire Jan. 8 at the restaurant. Paul said, “We wanted to provide lunch for them as our way of saying thanks for everything they did.” Dave Imming, spokesman for DFRA, said, “We are very grateful to be living in a community that supports their police and firefighters.”
