The Climate Change Symposium will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, in the Ballroom of the Student Union Building at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive.
The event features scientists and experts who will speak about the science, impacts, possible adaptations and solutions for climate change. Speakers include: Kevin Trenberth, senior scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research; Emile Elias, U.S. Department of Agriculture Southwest Climate Hub director; Ryan Haaland, FLC physics and engineering professor and department chairman; Gary Gianniny, FLC geosciences professor and department chairman; and Heidi Steltzer, FLC biology associate professor.
The symposium is free, open to all. Donations are encouraged.
