The Ignacio school board has hired a superintendent from the eastern Colorado town of Swink to succeed retiring
Superintendent Juvie Jones.
Rocco Fuschetto will take over the 797-student Ignacio School District on July 1. Jones has served as Ignacio
superintendent since 2005.
Fuschetto has been superintendent of Swink School District since 2006. The district, east of Pueblo, enrolls 378
Fuschetto earned a doctorate in educational leadership and school administration from Ball State University in Muncie,Ind.
He worked for six years as an assistant principal and principal in Indiana after teaching in the state for 25 years.
Fuschetto also worked for 11 years as vice president and general manager of Jane Wiley Interiors.

The board and two interview committees concluded interviews in April. The Colorado Association of School Boards
superintendent search team helped conduct the search.
