Spoken Word Series continues
The next installment in the Durango Public Librarys Spoken Word Series will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday with a Readers Theater presentation of Living the Legacy: How the He-man West Won the Vote for Women.
The program was written by Judith Reynolds and will be performed by Ross Park, Stephanie Huss, Jill Patton and Buck Skillen, with additional historical suffragette material read by Katherine Burgess, Susana Jones, Judy Hook, Wendy Ludgewait and Marcia Hull.

DAC offers crochet workshop
The Durango Arts Center will offer a crochet techniques workshop with Kate Skrainka from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The cost of the workshop is $35 with a 10 percent discount for DAC members.
Students will create two-dimensional images with basic crochet stitches working from a sketch or photograph, using modular shapes, as well as exploring different shaping methods to create depth and texture in the crocheted image.
Students should be familiar with basic crochet stitches. Bring your own variety of yarns.

Circus announces call to artists
The Salt Fire Circus and Bare Bones Burlesque is seeking original artwork to auction at its spring fundraiser, which will take place April 1 at Ska Brewing Co.
The troupe is seeking art inspired by old-time circus/burlesque imagery or themes. Mixed-media pieces are welcome.

Money raised will support Salt Fire Circus and Bare Bones Burlesques upcoming production, The Elixir.
City Span to air Night at Movies
As a warm-up for next weeks sixth annual Durango Independent Film Festival, City Span 10 will air Saturday Night at the Movies from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday.
The program is a selection of 10 films from last years festival, including Bernardino, The Art of Paul Folwell, The Portrait, 22 Years From Home, Shoes Full of Feet and The Lifter Upper.
