Snowdown coordinators are giving comic book aficionados another opportunity to don a red cape with the announcement of next year’s theme – “A Comic-Con Snowdown.”
The theme is broader than 2005’s “A Superhero Snowdown,” allowing participants to draw from a number of different popular-culture categories for their costume ideas.
“This idea came in and people loved it,” said Snowdown coordinator Linda Brockway. “This theme is easy to work with and allows people to be whoever they want to be.”
Brockway said themes are decided two years in advance, and as a general rule, are never repeated.
“We get a lot of theme ideas and try to come up with something different every year,” she said. “Comic Con lets you explore so many different themes at once, and that’s the fun part. That’s what it’s all about.”
