Business After Hours to be held Friday
Business After Hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado, 72 Suttle Drive in Bodo Industrial Park.
The event will be hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Colorado and First National Bank of Durango. The cost is $5 for chamber members and guests.
Horizon Properties has new location
Horizon Properties of Durango, which has served all aspects of real estate sales and purchases since 1980 on Main Avenue, announces it has relocated to Willow Springs, 275 County Road 252 between Trimble Crossing and Dalton Ranch Golf Club in the Animas Valley.
Willow Springs principals, Geof Schlittgen and Eric Winslow, obtained approval from the county in 2009 to develop Willow Springs into a 40-unit inn and 20,000 square feet of retail, office, restaurant and condominium spaces. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2012.
Horizon handles the sale and purchase of properties from first homes to fine estates and ranches, as well as commercial properties and projects. The company is affiliated with Classic Properties International.

First National Bank announces hire
First National Bank of Durango announces that Katherine Sumrall started with the bank Feb. 23 as a personal banker at the Albertsons office.
She has been in Durango since 2006 and is originally from Austin, Texas. Sumrall recently graduated from Fort Lewis College with a degree in international business and exercise science.
