Getting ready

Tommy Draper of Kirtland, N.M., has been coming to Hozhoni Days since the beginning when just a handful of Fancy Dancers took part in the event. On Friday, Draper was still gearing up for the gathering of cultures and celebration at Friday nights grand entry. The 47th annual Hozhoni Days will continue today at Fort Lewis College. Gourd dancing will be held at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. The first grand entry will be at 1 p.m., and the second grand entry will be at 7 p.m., with the crowning of Miss Hozhoni 2011-12.
