Homebuilder to offer free remodeling talks
Gene Fisher of Gene Fisher Custom Homes will present two free remodeling and addition seminars from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the Skyridge Office complex, 100 Jenkins Ranch Road Suite C.
Discussion subjects will include: design, planning, budgeting, financing, appraisals, ways to add value, contracts, permitting, green building and energy efficiency. There will be a question-and-answer session. Seating is limited, so preregistration is required.

Durango Sports Club announces new hire
The Durango Sports Club Physical Therapy Clinic announces the addition of Betsy DeLuca to its staff.
Formerly a massage therapist for the club, DeLuca joins its physical therapy clinic as the office assistant. During her hiatus, DeLuca worked at Fort Lewis College in the catering and events area. She is pursuing a certification as a dietitian when she isnt busy with her two children.
First National Bank announces new hires
First National Bank of Durango announces the addition of Callie Bond and Amanda Herrera to its staff.
Bond started March 23 with the bank as a customer-service representative, teller and personal banker at the Bodo Industrial Park office. She is originally from Arizona and has been in the area for five years. Bond comes to the bank after working for Ferguson Enterprises.
Herrera also started with the bank March 23 as a customer-service representative, teller and personal banker in the Walmart office. She is from California, also has spent some time in Arizona and has lived in the area for about seven years. Herrera comes to the bank after working for Axis (Southwest Colorado Mental Health Center).

Shampoo salon announces new stylist
Shampoo welcomes a new stylist, Christina Giehl.
Giehl offers mens and womens haircuts, color, perms, shampoo sets, feather extensions and hair tinsel. She is from South Florida, made a nine-year stop in Fort Worth, Texas, and has been in Durango for the last two years.

Habitat for Humanity of La Plata County announces that Rachel Taylor has returned to work as a program manager.
