On its first overnight road trip of the season, the Durango High School boys lacrosse team earned a pair of wins, as the Demons knocked off Bishop Machebeuf 10-7 Saturday.
DHS beat Kennedy 19-4 on Friday.
The Demons (6-2) held a 3-1 lead after the first quarter, but the Buffaloes (2-6) outscored DHS 3-2 in the second quarter to make it 5-3 at halftime.
Durango dominated the third quarter to push its lead to 9-5 and cruised to the win in the fourth quarter.
Cullen Robinette led the Demons with five goals and two assists, Ryan Smith finished with three goals and three assists, and Corbin Randle had two goals and two assists.
Dylan Gaver was in goal for the win and made 12 saves for DHS.
DHS will play its final home game of the season when the Demons (2-2 5A/4A Mountain League) host Aspen (4-2, 3-0 ML) at 10 a.m. Saturday at DHS Stadium.
The Durango girls lacrosse team picked up its second win of the season Saturday.
After a tough 6-2 loss in the wind and snow Friday at Palmer High School in Colorado Springs, the Demons bounced back with a 5-4 win at Denver North (3-6).
The win improved the DHS overall record to 2-8.
Durango will host Eagle Valley (2-4, 1-0) at 4 p.m. Thursday in a Mountain League matchup. DHS is 1-3 in Mountain League play this year.

Fruita (7-2, 4-0 SWL) scored a pair of goals in the first half en route to a 2-0 win Saturday at Durango High School (4-5, 2-1 SWL).

After three home games to open the league schedule, DHS will hit the road for its next four games, beginning with a 5 p.m. Tuesday match at Montrose.
