Survivors of assault have support group
Local psychotherapist Emily Newcomer will facilitate Sexual Assault Services Organizations free 12-week support group for female survivors of teen and adult sexual assault.
The next group will begin in May. Themes will include safety, grief and loss, traumas effect on the brain, feelings, self-care and coping, boundaries and assertiveness, managing strong emotions, relationships with support people, body image and awareness, and sexuality and intimacy.

American Red Cross announces classes
The American Red Cross will offer these health and safety training classes at its chapter office, 1911 Main Ave., Suite 282:
b Adult, child and infant CPR/AED will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday.
b Adult, child and infant CPR/AED and first aid will be held from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. Saturday.
b Adult, child and infant CPR/AED will be held from 5:30 to 10 p.m. April 27.
b Adult, child and infant CPR/AED and first aid will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 30.
b People can challenge any CPR or first aid instruction for $45. Challenges are held from 9 a.m. to noon each Monday.

Massage, yoga classes offered for kids, babies
Pediatric Associates of Durango, 1199 Main Ave., Suite 205, on the second floor of the Bank of Colorado building, will hold these classes:
b Free childrens yoga class, for children 3 to 7 years, will be held from 10 to 11 a.m April 13.
b Free infant massage class for parents and children ages 2 months to 6 months will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 18.
