Fort Lewis College cycling’s Squawker Classic heard around Durango

Charlotte Backus, left, of Fort Lewis College competes in the Squawker Road Classic Neighborhood Criterium race on Saturday in Durango. Backus, only a sophomore, had a strong weekend, as she went on to win the Women’s Collegiate A category road race Sunday. FLC hosted team time trial races Saturday morning followed by the criterium before the road races Sunday.
