Post to preview Symphony finale
Maestro Arthur Post will give a preview lecture about the San Juan Symphonys Passions & Fate season-ending concert.
The preview will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Durango Arts Center, and the concerts will be held Saturday in Durango and Sunday in Farmington.
The 75-member orchestra will be joined by more than 150 members of the Durango Choral Society, Telluride Choral Society and Caliente from Farmington, along with soprano Gemma Kavanagh, tenor Brian Patrick Leatherman and baritone Chuck Taylor.

Arts Center to offer watercolor class
The Durango Arts Center will offer Introduction to Watercolor Painting from 10 a.m. to noon for four weeks Fridays beginning May 6.
The class, which will be taught by Mary Dengler-Frey, will teach the basics of watercolor painting techniques including application, color mixing and composition.
The cost is $100 with a 10 percent discount for DAC members, plus a $25 materials fee. The registration deadline is April 29.

Boston Pops seeks singers auditions
The Boston Pops is inviting singers and music fans from around the country to submit video renditions of Over the Rainbow for possible inclusion in a video collage to be shown at Boston Pops performances throughout the 2011 season, May 11 to June 26.
Participants of all ages may submit video of themselves singing all or part of Over the Rainbow by uploading a video to YouTube and emailing a link, contact information and geographical location to email@example.com.
Videos chosen to be part of the video collage also will be featured on the Boston Pops YouTube channel and on the Boston Pops website, www.bostonpops.org.
All video submissions are due by April 26.
