Seniors from the Department of Theatre at Fort Lewis College will stage three free productions as part of their Senior Seminar Projects.
Heel, Achilles! is an original play based on Homers Iliad written by Eli Halterman. Four actors portray all of the major characters in the Iliad and present their own, humorous version of the story. Sword-fights, lightsabers, giant penguins, ridiculous wigs, are just a sample of what can be expected. The show includes mature content and may not be appropriate for all audiences.
Heel, Achilles! will be staged at 7:30 p.m. today on the mainstage in the FLC Theatre Building.
Balancing Me, Myself, and I by Michelle Manygoats will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Gallery Theatre. The play is an emotional journey about values, diversity, and acceptance. The internal struggles for 21st century Navajo adolescents will be explored through a performance while trying to answer the question: What roles do we all play that influences our self-identity?
The final play is OH ALL TO END: Lugubrious Luminescence By Patrick Wiabel. Its a semisilent play inspired by the works and qualities of Samuel Beckett and will be staged at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Gallery Theatre.
