Lindsey Shaw, the co-player of the year in the Intermountain League, will play one more high school basketball game.
Shaw, who led the Wolverines into the Class 3A Regional finals this year, has been selected to play in the Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports All-State Basketball Game on Sunday in Arvada.
Senior players were nominated for the all-state games by coaches from the respective conferences around the state. Players were nominated in their various school classifications.
A statewide panel of coaches made the final roster selections for the games in 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A and 5A.
The 3A all-star game is set for 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Arvada West High School.
The 5A all-star game, which features Durango High School senior and Southwestern League player of the year Katerina Garcia, is set for 2 p.m.
The Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports began sponsoring an all-state basketball game in 1978 to provide a showcase for the best high school senior girls in the state.
Shaw, who helped the Wolverines to a 17-5 record this year and the championship of the Intermountain League, was an All-IML selection again this year in addition to being named co-player of the year. She also was named to the District All-Tournament Team this year.
She averaged 15.2 points and 6.6 rebounds for the season. She also averaged 5.1 steals and 4.4 assists.
During the postseason, Shaw averaged 20.5 points, eight rebounds and 6.2 steals per game.
She set a school record with 30 points in the regional opener against Rye on March 6.
Shaw and the Wolverines advanced to the Regional finals with the win over Rye. They fell in the finals to Estes Park, which went on to finish second in the 3A State Tournament this year.
