La Plata Electric Association crews will conduct routine maintenance and inspections in rural La Plata County during the coming months.
Crews will also trim and remove trees that pose a hazard to power lines.
"This is part of our ongoing effort to keep the system intact and maintain delivery of safe and reliable electricity," said Steve Gregg, LPEA operations manager, in a news release.
Crews will be working in residential areas including Colorado Highway 151 to Arboles and Navajo Reservoir, county roads near Highway 151, County Road 334, and from Shenandoah west to the 20400 block of Colorado Highway 140 and north to Hesperus and to the 7590 block of County Road 120.
Felled trees will be limbed and left for property owners' use or disposal, the utility company said.
Trails and roads will be cleared of debris by LPEA.
