Your fill of thrills

Big drops in the air, no drop in fun at U.S. theme parks
The Cheetah Hunt coaster at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Fla., uses the force of repelling magnets to launch riders from zero to 60 mph in a matter of seconds. This occurs three different times during the ride.
For Universal visitors, August will be the last chance to ride the Jimmy Neutron Nicktoon Blast, which is closing to make room for a 3-D ride based on the “Despicable Me” animated movie, seen here.
The world’s fifth Legoland park, and the first on the East Coast, is going up on the site of the old Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven, a 45-minute drive from the other large parks in Orlando. Legoland Florida general manager Adrian Jones poses with a map of the park, scheduled to open sometime in October.
Another treat for “Star Wars” fans has opened at Legoland in Carlsbad: Star Wars Miniland, with scenes from the movies made of 1.5 million Lego bricks including depictions of Tatooine where Luke Skywalker grew up; Endor; the icy planet Hoth and the Millennium Falcon.
