Representative Scott Tipton voted for the Republican tax bill and he’s not telling the truth about why. He claims lower taxes on the wealthy and corporations create more investment which creates more jobs and on and on. Too bad it doesn’t happen that way.
Wages are growing too slowly, and many people need to work two jobs to make ends meet. Meanwhile, the biggest U.S. companies have spent $250 billion buying back their own stock, and the national debt is expected to increase by over $2 trillion.
Scott Tipton and the Republican Congress want to pay for it all through huge cuts to programs like Social Security and Medicare.
Scott Tipton knows that “trickle down” doesn’t work for anyone but the wealthy. It didn’t work in the Reagan years or the Bush years and it’s not working now.
We need somebody honest and transparent to represent us in Congress. We need someone who cares about regular people more than about wealthy corporations and rich donors.
I believe Diane Mitsch Bush is that person. She just raised a million dollars without taking any money from corporate PACs. Twenty-six percent of Diane’s donations come from small contributions, compared to only 4 percent of Scott Tipton’s.
Diane will actually listen to the people of Colorado, which is why I’m going to vote for her. I hope you will too.
