Tara Mandala announces events
Tara Mandala, 4000 Burns Canyon Road in Pagosa Springs, will hold these events:

b Yoga for the Inflexible with Tara Robertson will be held from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Saturdays at the Tara Temple. This class is free and open to the public; donations are welcome. No registration is required.
b Weekly Dharma Teaching with Debra Quayle Travis will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays at the Tara Temple. There will be sitting meditation followed by dharma teachings and discussion. This event is free and open to the public. Donations are welcome. No registration is required.

Air quality panel to hold meeting
Colorado Air Quality Control Commission will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio.
The commission develops air-pollution control policy, regulates pollution sources and conducts hearings about violations of the states air-pollution laws.
The meeting will be held over three days and is open to the public.
The meeting will also be held at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday and June 17.

The Murga Sisters to perform in Bayfield
The Murga Sisters will perform in a free concert from 10 to 11 a.m. June 17 at the Lavenia McCoy Public Library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive in Bayfield.
The Bayfield-native sisters will perform bluegrass, gospel, country, rock and more.

Durango Motor Expo to be held June 18
The Durango Old Car Club will present the Durango Motor Expo from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 18 on Main Avenue between College Drive and 10th Street.
The free expo will include classic cars and trucks from all eras. A silent auction for custom pedal cars and automobilia will be held throughout the day.
Hot Wheels Car Races for children will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants also can vote for their favorite car.
Car owners can participate with a $30 preregistration fee at an ice cream social on June 17 at the First National Bank of Durango parking lot, 259 W. Ninth St.
Proceeds will benefit Mercy Health Foundation and Hospice of Mercy.

Half marathon to be held Saturday
Steamworks Half Marathon will be held from 7:15 a.m. to noon Saturday on East Animas Road (County Road 250).
Runners will run south, facing traffic. Drivers and runners are asked to use caution. The run will begin at Bakers Bridge on East Animas Road (County Road 250) and will end at the Durango Sports Club, 1600 Florida Road.

Native Roots to hold free class Saturday
Native Roots will hold a free class about turf at noon Saturday at 26266 U.S. Highway 160.
This class will guide lawn caretakers on the best times for treating lawns as well as other tips on how to keep lawns healthy. The class will be taught by Scott of Scotts Pro Lawn, formerly Scotts K-Lawn.
