One is at the village of Joshua Tree; the other, farther east, is at Oasis of Mara, near the town of Twentynine Palms. A third visitor center is on the southern side of the park at Cottonwood Spring. The park encompasses parts of two deserts: the Mojave on the west and the Colorado on the east.
