The Durango Dharma Center will offer a daylong retreat, “Relaxing into Presence,” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 16.
Beth Sternlieb, a visiting teacher from California, will discuss how to cultivate a felt sense of tranquility during meditation and in everyday life.
When the capacity to relax becomes familiar, even difficult emotions and challenging body sensations can be met with mindfulness and confidence rather than reactivity.
This daylong retreat is suitable for new and experienced meditation practitioners.
