From local volunteer to participant, Dakota Jones is a prerace favorite
Jared Campbell (pictured, circa 2010) will be back to defend his title this weekend in the Hardrock 100, as will the women’s champion Diana Finkel.
Sunrise graces the peaks of the San Juan Mountains on Day 1 of the 2010 Hardrock 100 as runners cross Mineral Creek just outside of Silverton, the opening mile of the 100-mile endurance race. The 18th Hardrock will start Friday morning, and the race will run counterclockwise this year, from Silverton to Lake City, Ouray, Telluride and back to Silverton.
